The Union Mountainbike Club Koppl has been welcoming its participants, spectators and sponsors to its mountain bike races since 1998. In 2022 we want to organize an unforgettable event again. In 2022 we will celebrate the final race of the Austria Youngsters Cup and Sportklasse Cup series. If that is not a reason for an EXTRAORDINARY FINAL PARTY incl. award ceremony on September 24th, 2022 from 5:00 pm at the bike park near the technical assistance zone (TAZ). Keep the evening and the night free and let yourself be surprised what we have planned!
Over the past two years, we have already proven that COVID-19 cannot stop us in our planning. We are planning a cross-country race as part of the Austrian Cycling Association (ÖRV) with the racing series of the Austria Youngsters Cup, the Sportklasse Cup and the Salzburg State Championship. The race will take place on our constantly evolving racetrack (PDF AYC, PDF PC) and will take place on Saturday September 24th, 2022 with the following program (PDF, changes are ongoing). The Nockstein Trophy 2022 starts on Saturday with the age groups U7, U9 and U11. This is followed by the youngsters in the age groups U13 to U17. Here the girls and boys will have their own race. From the juniors onwards, the age groups and both genders ride together again. According to the regulations of the Austrian Cycling Association, a UCI license is obligatory for participation from the U9 level (fee schedule, Gebührenordnung). Foreign starters can start with their license or have to purchase a Junior Bike Card (EUR 19.90) or a day license (Tageslizenz) (EUR 12.50). The insurance benefits (Versicherungsleistungen) apply worldwide (except in countries with American jurisdiction)!
But we also don't want to forget our German friends from the Bavarian Cycling Association (BRV) with the Pölzcup racing series. In the program (PDF, changes continuously) on Sunday, September 25th, 2022, the requirements for strength, condition and technique from the U7 to the U11 will be the same as the day before. From the U13 to the adults, we will reduce the difficulty of the race track so that it is sufficient for a popular sporting event. Therefore, the event is also offered in the Junior Bike Cup Salzburg (JBCS). No licenses are required for these races!
The contents of this website are intended to make the administrative race preparations easier for you and give you information on the event location, recommendations for accommodation (PDF) and how to get there (PDF). Shopping opportunities (PDF) and other race-related information will also be recorded for those who want to stay a little longer on site before and/or after the race. Finally, it should be mentioned that the event is organized by the organizer with reference to the conditions of participation (PDF) to be confirmed upon registration and under the corresponding disclaimer (PDF). The documents are rounded off in a contemporary manner by the COVID-19 concept (PDF, to be adapted to the current conditions shortly before the event), which explains the specific course of the event. In addition, the contact data sheet for accreditation on the route must be filled out (PDF) for EACH supervisor.
As part of the sustainable use of environmental resources, it is important to us at the Union Mountainbike Club Koppl to subordinate the upcoming competitions to the main criteria of a "green event" as far as possible. In a modern understanding, sustainability includes the harmony of people, nature and economy. In order to avoid mountains of rubbish and traffic avalanches, we refer to the use of environmentally friendly means of travel, the formation of possible car pools and the distribution of information material. Of course everything in compliance with the currently applicable COVID-19 regulations! It is therefore particularly important this year to read through the event notices again shortly before the event. The organizers reserve the right to make changes to all points of the announcement if the provisions and regulations require it! These changes are continuously published on our homepage and, if necessary, announced at the drivers' briefing.
On behalf of the board and its entire team, the Union Mountainbike Club Koppl wishes everyone good preparation, good health and a pleasant journey as well as an injury-free and successful race!
